Glassware Idea sketching
Based on in class lecture,discussion, and demonstrations create idea sketches for glassware with sketch indication techniques.

c) On 14”X17” bond paper Create 5 pages of thumbnail idea sketches
for beverage related glassware types including:
Stemware
Pitcher, Decanter
Water Glass
Cocktail Glass
etc.
d) Based on thumbnail ideas select an idea from each page and make larger more detailed drawings of select designs in perspective with shadows, reflections, backgrounds and scaling elements.
emphasize:
drawing through ( visible light weight construction lines )
line quality, thick to thin variation, crisp to soft edge variation, dark to light.
proportion and shape.
reflective finish ( shinyness ) and transparency
backgrounds

14”X17” bond paper. Indigo blue and white verithin and prismacolor pencil, marker, pastel.
use sweeps, french curves, straight edges and elipse guides as needed on finished sketches for high level of line control.

please premount the sketches on the front and back of a 36" wide x 48" high sheet of foamcore with tape so that it can be presented on the crit rail. Be prepared to present your ideas.
