Visualization 2 Studio
IND 552

Course Description

"Nothing is more powerful for the designer than their ability to visualize their thinking and the resulting biproduct of sharing what they are able to imagine with others before it exists; to simulate the reality of a new idea by connecting with others in their understanding of how they perceive reality"
The central purpose of this course is to continue the work initiated in the Visualization 1 Studio by providing students with a thorough understanding of key foundation theories for visual perception and communication. Students gain practical experience in applying these theories to create professional level sketches, drawings and digital renderings. The Visualization 2 Studio will focus on the study of more complex perspective, material indication, and application of those theories to sketch assignments employing different media and techniques. Individual assignments will involve the use of traditional analog drawing tools and  the creation of images developed with applications such as Sketch-up, Adobe Photoshop and Creative Suite.
